    ESTORICA

Estorica is an original medieval fantasy roleplay built for players that want to have creative freedom in a structured setting. It is a roleplay where you can be anything and do anything so long as your level of understanding and attention to detail to the structured setting permit it. The structured setting is otherwise known as “The world of Malice” is extremely malleable and flexible in its concepts, so much so that its full potential has not been reached in terms of possibility. The roleplay itself is slow burning, not fast-paced but built in a way that allows solid foundation and satisfying stories so long as the players behind them are dedicated to their craft. People join Estorica because they want an open form of cooperative storytelling without limitations such as character race, and abilities or the lack of opportunity to start new concepts and ideas. Estorica does this with its unique character creation process and its open and loose lore that manages to tell complex and intricate stories without hindering other players.

    PLOT

Malice is all we have ever known. The predators and prey mentality shaping the people of Malice since the day the gods created us. It has ensured the existence of Malice for nine whole eras. The motivations of its people, opportunistic and real but often incredibly and unapologetically selfish. Rulers have risen, fallen, and been resurrected. Democracy has been seen in many forms but only one true order exist and has remained constant in all of these forms. The Cycle of Malice never ends, our mother continues it with every breath… the first words all orphans hear driving them to do whatever it takes to fulfill her wish. It echoes from orphan to orphan acting as the blood of reality… “Live”

Out of all the places that I have ever roleplayed in the fifteen or so years, I've got to admit that this one is one of the best. Friendly community, decent roleplayers, and just an all around good community.

At first, I was a little sceptical, reading some of the lore I wondered how such roleplay would be possible given the parameters with which you begin your roleplay. But, I found that the roleplay this site provides is a fundamental roleplay experience that I think everyone should partake in.

The character creation system is very good and rather than having a strict policy on everything, the community and those in charge of the site will come together to see what they can do to improve the RP experience. Since I have joined and sampled their roleplay having only been part of it almost a week, I have already been helped in terms of the progression of my character, not what it should not do but, how my character would be able to achieve it. Your ideas are never looked down upon.

Unlike most sites I've been on, this site doesn't stamp out ideas which in most cases disheartens roleplayers, especially if this process of their ideas being mocked or flat out refused without work is repeated. Instead, the admins take into account what you want and then will go through a process of how you can progress it so that it will eventually happen.

The story/lore that is written is well detailed, fun and functional and enjoyable to read, I found myself actually getting excited when I thought of the possibilities of my character. In addition to the fun lore, the community is very nice and overall has a good moral setting.

The maps or area of which you can roleplay in, they are detailed but not so much so to require copious amounts of reading to set the stage and yet, enough detail so that you can grasp just how the world is set up as well as areas of possible danger.

I will finish on what I loved most about Estorica, which is characters are not completely set in stone. If you dislike something about your character or want to add something to your character it is not just possible, it is encouraged. It takes time to change your character but you are told how to do it and thus, you find yourself wanting to put out posts with others or even by yourself to make that happen. And from that, I give Estorica one of my best reviews because of the freedom, I recommend this roleplay site to all new roleplayers and even the more experienced because of its good foundation towards character freedom.

    I rate it 5 stars.
