Estorica is a roleplaying company dedicated to providing a forum roleplay experience to our users. The company is two years old, while the most recent version of our site will be opening soon. We are providing a jcink premium platform, set in an original world influenced by different parts of the world before the 1900s. The world and its setting are backed up by a dedicated lore team. We love to answer questions about our creation, the little and large intricacies, and the limitations invented to keep things fair and balanced. We do not require character sheets to get started, as that can inhibit the creative process. We do encourage long-lasting roleplay, with connections to other plots across the entire forum. Our goal is to create something with a group of people that everyone enjoys reading and adding onto as time passes. If all of this sounds interesting, feel free to drop in at estorica.org and check out our living world.

    Estorica's Goals

    1. To provide roleplayers a platform where they can create and share stories in a unique setting that is set apart from all others.
    2. To provide roleplayers with the opportunity to overcome challenges.
    3. To give writers an environment where they can cooperate with other writers to create small, impactful stories, to entertain others.
    4. To display the creations of roleplayers and writers to an audience that would appreciate them.

Cavus existed in a constant state of strife between Mortals, Birthless, and The Vagary. Battles were fought using the energies that existed before the creation of the world, and In this war, the world was covered in destruction, decay, and null magic. The God of Balance ‘Elise’ used all of the known magic in the world to defeat a threat to Mortals and Birthless alike. She did it with the hope that it would end all wars once and for all. Instead, it nearly stripped the world of magic, banishing Gods, and Birthless for over 1000 years.
Mortals lived in hatred of one another over those years, warring over resources, pride, and ideologies, and in their hatred they gave birth to the God Eater, and it gave creation to the Vagary. The Vagary battled with mortals in an attempt to conquer them all. The God Eater nearly ruled over all mortals thanks to his creation, but the mortals came together and begged the last known Birthless of the world to grant godhood to a savior, a restorer of magic. Their wish was granted, and magic was returned to the world. Mortals drove the God Eater back into the abyss and reclaimed their lands and freedom.
A century has passed since the defeat of the God Eater, and the stories of battles between gods have faded away into legend and folklore. The world once again finds itself teetering on the edges of war between mortals. Vagary continue to rise from the abyss to bring calamity to all. The cries of the weak go unanswered, and where magic was once abundant for all mortals only half wield it today.

Out of all the places that I have ever roleplayed in the fifteen or so years, I've got to admit that this one is one of the best. Friendly community, decent roleplayers, and just an all around good community.

Extremely friendly staff. My idea didn't work out, and they did everything they could to help me find an idea that worked. They did, but I was hyperfocused on finding somewhere to roleplay a dragon specifically. The members are generally all decent people, both on this site and any others that might be on. The staff have good memories, too, and won't forget about you.

At first, I was a little sceptical, reading some of the lore I wondered how such roleplay would be possible given the parameters with which you begin your roleplay. But, I found that the roleplay this site provides is a fundamental roleplay experience that I think everyone should partake in.

The character creation system is very good and rather than having a strict policy on everything, the community and those in charge of the site will come together to see what they can do to improve the RP experience. Since I have joined and sampled their roleplay having only been part of it almost a week, I have already been helped in terms of the progression of my character, not what it should not do but, how my character would be able to achieve it. Your ideas are never looked down upon.

Unlike most sites I've been on, this site doesn't stamp out ideas which in most cases disheartens roleplayers, especially if this process of their ideas being mocked or flat out refused without work is repeated. Instead, the admins take into account what you want and then will go through a process of how you can progress it so that it will eventually happen.

The story/lore that is written is well detailed, fun and functional and enjoyable to read, I found myself actually getting excited when I thought of the possibilities of my character. In addition to the fun lore, the community is very nice and overall has a good moral setting.

The maps or area of which you can roleplay in, they are detailed but not so much so to require copious amounts of reading to set the stage and yet, enough detail so that you can grasp just how the world is set up as well as areas of possible danger.

I will finish on what I loved most about Estorica, which is characters are not completely set in stone. If you dislike something about your character or want to add something to your character it is not just possible, it is encouraged. It takes time to change your character but you are told how to do it and thus, you find yourself wanting to put out posts with others or even by yourself to make that happen. And from that, I give Estorica one of my best reviews because of the freedom, I recommend this roleplay site to all new roleplayers and even the more experienced because of its good foundation towards character freedom.

I rate it 5 stars.
