    ESTORICA

A tale of innovation and conflict between Orphans. These Orphans have been granted vast possibilities by their gods ranging from appearance to ability. The stories these orphans live are made of love, intelligence, violence, and self-discovery. They all share one goal "Live".

Estorica is a completely original roleplay based on the suggestions from all of our current and previous members. Based in a medieval fantasy sort of setting, Estorica is driven by the stories of the individual to create vast adventures. While not a combat based roleplay, players will still have that option. We encourage everyone to let their ideas be heard whether it is for a 1v1 thread or if it is an idea for an entire World Event. No idea is a bad idea and if we can make it work out we will.

    PLOT

In the beginning, there was chaos, and from this chaos came creation and rebirth. Some creators called themselves gods for their creativity, while others would serve them and would never achieve such enlightenment. All was well until a new concept was born, this concept refused to be reborn and sought the understanding that the gods selfishly guarded. They locked it away in a cage called Malice. In time, the concept grew and learned. The concept achieved enlightenment. The concept created a being in her own image. She built us. Mother created the Orphans of Malice. Each Orphan was different, each orphan held different mindsets and opinions. The orphans, in their true chaotic nature, surpassed the gods in their creativity. This could not be allowed. Empires fell, Dominions were formed, Concepts evolved, and Gods were banished. The orphans, having no greater rivals turned to one another. When Mother gave us the gift of life, she couldn't have imagined how cruel we would become with it. In this life, you are a resource, a material and an asset, something to be molded to fit the needs of others. We are the beings that walk the earth, the sovereigns that rule the land, the beasts that stalk the trees, and the ore that crafts the swords. Nothing has changed. There is no such thing as freedom here unless you embrace the cruelty unless you embrace the cycle. The cycle of creation, of pain, of subjugation, and of death. You were not the first to be thrust upon this ground, and you will not be the last. Make your choices, and make them quickly, else the world shall choose for you. Will you be a slave? Or shall you reach towards the impossibility of freedom?

At first, I was a little sceptical, reading some of the lore I wondered how such roleplay would be possible given the parameters with which you begin your roleplay. But, I found that the roleplay this site provides is a fundamental roleplay experience that I think everyone should partake in.

The character creation system is very good and rather than having a strict policy on everything, the community and those in charge of the site will come together to see what they can do to improve the RP experience. Since I have joined and sampled their roleplay having only been part of it almost a week, I have already been helped in terms of the progression of my character, not what it should not do but, how my character would be able to achieve it. Your ideas are never looked down upon.

Unlike most sites I've been on, this site doesn't stamp out ideas which in most cases disheartens roleplayers, especially if this process of their ideas being mocked or flat out refused without work is repeated. Instead, the admins take into account what you want and then will go through a process of how you can progress it so that it will eventually happen.

The story/lore that is written is well detailed, fun and functional and enjoyable to read, I found myself actually getting excited when I thought of the possibilities of my character. In addition to the fun lore, the community is very nice and overall has a good moral setting.

The maps or area of which you can roleplay in, they are detailed but not so much so to require copious amounts of reading to set the stage and yet, enough detail so that you can grasp just how the world is set up as well as areas of possible danger.

I will finish on what I loved most about Estorica, which is characters are not completely set in stone. If you dislike something about your character or want to add something to your character it is not just possible, it is encouraged. It takes time to change your character but you are told how to do it and thus, you find yourself wanting to put out posts with others or even by yourself to make that happen. And from that, I give Estorica one of my best reviews because of the freedom, I recommend this roleplay site to all new roleplayers and even the more experienced because of its good foundation towards character freedom.

    I rate it 5 stars.

Out of all the places that I have ever roleplayed in the fifteen or so years, I've got to admit that this one is one of the best. Friendly community, decent roleplayers, and just an all around good community.
