      Nothing Lasts Forever RPG Rating

    The Premise
Nothing Lasts Forever takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, in the year 2024, and is a loosely canon site. This means that character personalities may be canon, but not necessarily every relationship. Some were fractured by death, trauma, and more mundane means.
Everybody who died did in fact die, but was brought back - more info below.
Ultimately, you do not need to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the MCU in order to join this site. You just need to be able to ask questions and write.

    The Snap
Where did the people who got taken away by "the snap" or "the blip" go? Well, per canon, they only felt like a tiny blip of time had passed. But hey, we like trauma here, so no. The people who were taken away went to a universe where Hydra won long ago. People were killed in the streets, wrongfully imprisoned, tortured... So of course coming back to a world that is on the brink of that was awful, and the year or so after, watching things descend further in similarities, was very distressing.

    The Plot
S.H.I.E.L.D accomplished their goal. They brought back the people who were lost, harnessing the power of Scarlet Witch and the Infinity Stones. Unfortunately, achieving their goal came at great cost, as it always does - Hydra made sure of that. Impersonating S.H.I.E.L.D agents, they infiltrated the mission and brought mass destruction. The power that was harnessed to bring back the fallen became a weapon that nearly destroyed several countries, most of whom are still struggling to rebuild.
To make a long story short, they were framed. Hydra used the destruction against S.H.I.E.L.D and against those with abilities. The Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D agents who didn't have any kind of greater power were named war criminals and forced into hiding, and those who do have them were outlawed. Hydra infiltrated the government, both local and at large, and built a large, high security prison to hold those that nothing else could hold.
Those once called Heroes are now viewed as a dangerous enemy to be hunted and brought in, dead or alive. They aren't loved, they are feared.
They also know that it's time to strike back, because
    nothing lasts forever.

We have recently gotten an influx of new members, which means that canon characters are going quickly. There are still plenty left, though, and we'd especially love a Bruce Banner!

Our Wanted Ad section has also grown SIGNIFICANTLY, so if you want to play in the MCU but don't want to make a canon character, we're your guys.
