CPanel is one of the most comprehensive web server management software available. When it comes to uploading files to Cpanel the easiest way is to use the built-in file manager.  This means that you don't have to learn how to install and configure a complicated FTP service, especially since you can upload zip files and extract them directly on the server.

  1. You’ll first want to login into your CPanel and find the file manager. It should look similar to this, depending on your host.

  2. Once inside the File Manager depending on the settings of the server you should be inside your public_html folder. If not, double click on the folder icon next to the public_html words to change folders. This is where all the public facing files of your main domain are housed. If you have any additional domains, your public_html folder may look like this:
    J-bKZUecQjEX3lWpuI7TJSVIq-RfaskCBhozijTo
  3. From there you can begin uploading files using the upload option on the toolbar. You should come to the screen below where you can drag and drop files directly onto the page to upload or you can use the file explorer.

  4. After the files are done uploading you return to your file manager and they should be there waiting for you. If they are not, they may still be uploading or you may need to refresh your page.
  5. From there you can click and drag files to move them about and edit them if needed. CPanel’s file manager makes uploading and rearranging files on your server easy to do.
