I'd prefer a DC/Marvel site above anything else, but DC only or panfandom types are cool too. If you're wanting to play the canons, I'm open to about anything. If you're looking to play something inspired by the canons, I have a modern supernatural creatures site that I'd prefer to do this on. I don't particularly care whether we do this on a public or private/1x1 site, but I'm not open to Discord or email roleplaying, sorry! If you have a site, I'm open when it comes to activity requirements and word counts and rating and all that.
Unwanted Genres: Animals
Specific Unwanted Genres:
Like I said above, I'm open to pretty much anything. Though I suppose animal rps wouldn't work for what I have in mind.
Hey there! I'm Jax, they/them, and I never know what to say about myself. If you have any questions, I'll probably answer them. Unless you're asking my favorite pet's name or the first concert I attended, because then I'm gonna think you're trying to get into my email. I promise there's nothing exciting in there, it's mostly spam emails I never get around to deleting. Hm, well... I like a wide variety of media. Lately I've been listening to a lot of French rap. Not sure why as I don't speak French. I love sci-fi movies, and anything that features a monster (or aliens or mutates or creatures of any kind) is going to get a thumbs up from me. I also watch a lot of baking shows on Netflix. And now that I have my new laptop, I play a lot of games as well - Untitled Goose Game, Minecraft, Jurassic World Evolution, Garden Paws, The Pirate Caribbean Hunt. I'm a person with very eclectic tastes.
I almost always post within the week, or at the most, two weeks. Or sometimes I post same or next day. The more interested I am in the thread, and the more we click as partners, the faster I typically write. I average 4-700 words. I'd like if my partner could post around the same speed and length as me. Rapidfire and comm threads aren't my jam, but also sometimes things just get short, so don't feel like I'm trying to have an inflexible minimum word count here. Short posts happen occasionally by nature but I just don't like it when they're a regular thing, you feel?
First or third person, past or present tense, it's all fine by me. I'm all right with minor godmodding, like saying my character follows yours or takes something they're handed. Anything that doesn't involve harm to my char is usually fair game. Just ask me if, for example, a telepath is reading my character's mind so I can tell you what they'd see, instead of making it all up yourself. That's polite, yeah? I've never stood on my head to type but one time I did text someone while hanging upside down so... that counts, I guess. I'm pretty lax when it comes to most things, and if something happens that I'm not cool with, I'm going to bring it up politely instead of getting in your face about it.
To use the RPG rating, I'm comfortable up to 3/3/3, conditionally. I don't write explicit non-con/dub-con, self-harm, abuse, master/slave dynamics, homophobia, transphobia, or racism. Referenced or implied is typically fine but please ask first. I'd prefer to discuss other mature or taboo topics before writing them out in detail to make sure we're on the same page, but I'm open to anything else besides what I listed there. Violence, gore, language, substance use and abuse, all that. I'm also 110% willing to adjust my posts and all to your comfort levels. Just let me know where they're at!
Where's the 'conditionally' part come in? Well, I can be kinda... iffy, on smut. I don't cyber and I'm not always interested in writing explicit sexual content in the first place. I'm perfectly willing to write sex scenes themselves, but I prefer posts that focus on characters' thoughts and emotions, in a thread that happens to include sexual content, if that makes sense. I've seen it referred to as smut for plot's sake rather than for smut's sake? If you need a writing partner who will write Pornhub-esque threads that rhapsodize about how big characters' dicks are, I'm not for you. If you're cool with fading to black in some scenes and delving into the emotional side of sex rather than the physical side, we'll get along great!
Plots I'd Like
Okay, so... I'm shipper trash. That's the long and short of it. And recently I found out that Arthur Curry/Clark Kent (Aquaman/Superman) is a ship that exists and I really fuckin ship it. I'm hoping to find someone that will write the Clark to my Arthur and explore their dynamic! It doesn't have to be intended as a ship from the very beginning if you prefer not to commit to ships with strangers or anything like that, and I'm not going to ask for a final, but it would be nice if we were shipper trash together. I'd love if this was something longterm that grows and develops and brings joy to both of us. I've had writing partners for years at a time and it's nice to have that connection OOC as well as IC.
I've read a few DC comics here and there but my knowledge is based in the DC movies. I'd like to be able to follow the movie canon as far as BvS and Justice League, to have a framework to build off of, but hey, we can do something completely different too. Although I would love the emotional drama of Clark having died and everything because angsty history and all is my jam. So is modern day angst, but in moderation - an unending slog of everything being bad, with no end or happiness in sight, ends up burning me out.
If you're more of an "inspired by canon" than "canon" shipper, I am on a modern day supernatural creatures site where I use Jason Momoa as a playby for a chill mom friend werewolf, and there's a wanted ad for his long-lost fae boyfriend. I'd be happy to link you to it!
I can provide several upon request!
Hm, I'm not sure what else to say. If you're interested, I'd love to hear from you. If you're not, but you know someone who might be, feel free to throw this at them! You can PM or tag me here or find me on Discord at DarthKenobi#1485.
