  1. Just a few ideas I have for sites, I would need help in actually making the site. 1) Fandom site Show: MacGyver (2016) The Phoenix Foundation: a privately funded government operation, tasked with defending national interest both at home and abroad. Disguised as a government think-tank, the Foundation's true nature is classified above top-secret and operates as the hidden fourth arm of the US intelligence network, handling the most sensitive of operations. Knowledge of the show is not needed, but a plus, original characters would be accepted. 2) Real life/crime Location: Texas - Dallas/Fort Worth Influences: Deputy, Justified, Yellowstone General plot: Dallas - a hub for commerce, tourism, sports and history, mainly that of the old west. The people here are hard working, honest and welcoming, though they are quick to stand up for what they believe in and call out someone who is in the wrong. Behind the shiny skyscrapers and other grand buildings are dedicated individuals working to protect Dallas/Fort Worth from those who aren't on the straight and narrow. 3) Real life - city Location: St. Louis, Missouri General plot: The gateway to the west, a hub for sports and tourism. The people who live and work here are a helpful, hard working and generous bunch who take their faith seriously and are respectful of others. While they work hard, the people here also play hard: being passionate about their sports and community events that take place during the year. 4) Real life - country side/fictional town Location: Montana Mountain Reach - a former mining boom town, Mountain Reach reinvented its self, making major efforts to improve its economy by encouraging tourism, emphasizing its history and opportunities for outdoor recreation: mainly skiing, hiking and horseback riding. Not far from the town is a monastery for monks of the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance (Trappists). 5) Real life - city Location: Louisville, Kentucky General plot: Derby City, the Gateway to the South, home of bourbon whiskey, horse farms and the famed Kentucky Derby. Southern hospitality is quickly noticeable to those who visit, with many going out of their way to welcome visitors.
  2. I've seen a lot of RL sites advertised at the moment and it got me thinking. There's obviously an appetite for these things out there but they're all set in major (predominantly US cities). How about something a little more intimate? A bit different. So, would anyone be interested in a RL 'slice of life's site set in a fictional quintessentially chocolate box village. Plots would revolve around all the unspoken village secrets, familial dramas and personal dilemmas. Site events could be village fetes, charity dinners, cricket on the green and an outdoor cinema. A chilled community there for the character drama and development, not OOC blurgh. No word counts and super relaxed/no posting requirements.
  3. I can find only one active Old West rpg site and unfortunately it's not one where I could develop my characters the way I'd like to. And it seems there doesn't exist a roleplayer who'd be truly inspired to play on 1x1 site, judging by how they keep disappearing just when we've started. Is there any interest in a multi-player Old West rpg as follows? - It would be set in the late 1870s in a fictionalized version of Burns which at the time was a rural village in southwest Minnesota. - Only that village would be fictionalised. Overall the game would be based on real life history and aim at realism. As in you'd need to do research on the time period and other locations whilst creating your character and whilst writing game events. But I would not be anal about it, I try to avoid nitpicking, as in things wouldn't have to be perfectly accurate as long it's nothing major. I would provide some of the most essential info on the website so no one needs to research everything. - It would be for people who enjoy writing historical everyday life in a rural community. The vilage would be rather small but developed enough to have numerous different seevices and townhouses too so your character doesn't need to be a farmer and there'd be potential for colourful variety of game events. Game locations would also include New York City and you could set a game event anywhere you need. But the point is, it would not be a wild west rpg but an old west rpg focusing on a small community's everyday life. - Character driven, no site wide plot. - The time flow would be fluid. The timeline would be a few years in the late 1870s. - My characters would be a farmer family including the parents and a very young son (5+ years old) and the son would be my main character with the parents as side characters. I could write separate events with the parents if needed, they just don't have their own biographies yet. And I also have a Native American father and his 7+ years old son, both main characters. - Celebrity play-bys would be allowed but not mandatory to use. Also child PBs under the age of 13. I personally use PBs for all my characters. - The site would be rated 3-2-2. Minimum age for joining would be 15. - Self-hosted, using myBb. Anyone interested to join? Any questions or suggestions?
