We have this in our DnD group! The only information that other players have on our characters' backgrounds is info that we offer. Our DM has everything, and we work with him to create fun plots and things that may happen in the future of our game.


Also in general I don't read too much on profiles beyond maybe an appearance, because it's so much more fun I think for the characters to interact and figure out more about each other IC.
