As much as I like activity just as everyone else I prefer someone that is clever and meticulous.

 

When the writing is too predictable and straightforwards I do tend to get a bit bored eventually.

Active and easygoing. That's about it. A player is a lot different than a writer.

My favourite players are those who actively create ways for other people to engage in the community. Sometimes these are people who create plots almost singlehandedly so that other characters have something to do. Othertimes they create OOC events or handle things like games without staff having to do anything. Love those humans.

My perfect players are someone who is:
 

• A Good Communicator - There is nothing sweeter than finding someone who is open and honest in their communication in RP, especially when that person is able to follow through from beginning to end. Too often I see people plotting and it just...drops off, instead of having a solid plan formulate on how they're going to implement everything that they've just talked about! I love to see continuous communication OOC.
• Self-Driven - The players who jump right into plotting and get their threads going without people having to drag it out of them are the literal angels of RP. They keep your site alive and thriving. I love to see those who are always willing to jump into plotting, especially when new players come around. 
• Semi-Active - The site I currently admin has a very laid-back environment so constant posting and activity required posting aren't a thing but I do love to see players who are active. A few posts a month is ideal. A few a week is excellent. 
• Mature - Sometimes plots just don't work out the way we'd like and I GREATLY appreciate the people who don't take that personally. When a player is mature enough to not only speak up for themselves when something is not in the best interest of their character, or who are willing to take news like that from other players, it makes for a fun and safe environment. That's all we can really ask for!

I've only been an admin for a day and just got my first app on site, but to be perfectly honest I think that person's app really reflects what I dream of in a "perfect player":

- Someone who not only reads, understands and shows interest in the lore and setting, but actively uses it in creating (and hopefully playing) their character. Taking ownership of the story from the start, adding to it and making it richer for all. 
- Someone who dares to take up space and come up with ideas - creating something that they themselves are excited about, as I think that tends to rub off on others as well. 
- Someone who is polite and eager, but not demanding or pushy.
