Interest Check: [Updated] Historical Fantasy Site

[There was a different post here originally! So you aren't going crazy if you swear you read this and it was totally different!]

After some deeper discussion and bantering Arceus and I realized that there was an old site of ours that we wanted to try and reboot from the ground up. There are definitely some adjustments and polishing points that will need to be done before the site is reopened to the public, and this interest check is just kind of to get word out there and see what other people might think of the concept.

So, the basic premise is we have a fully fictional world that is based loosely on ancient times, one of the nations, for example is loosely based on an ancient Rome - complete with gladiators (blood fighters) and other slaves. Each nation would have a write up and some information to offer guidance. We're centered primarily in the city of Nydema which is set in this location.

In addition there are 3 races: Humes, Ilim, and Weres. Humes are standard humans. Weres are exactly what you think except they can be any animal (seriously we have ... a lion, a shark, a cobra....), and the Ilim are essentially like nature spirits. They have paws for feet, and tend to have animal ears and tails (however they may be able to magically hide them)

There is magic in this world. Mages tend to be of a specific elemental alignment and the magic they can do is mostly focused on that same element (Ice, Water, Fire, Earth, Air, Lightning, Light, Dark. ... I may be missing one/a few). The thing about mages though, is that Hume mages tend to be driven crazy and they aren't really sure why. This has led to Humes mostly being very against magic and many of them will hide it if they can.

Along side this there is a prophesy that essentially states that one day the Messiah will come and what exactly the Messiah is going to do is... well, it's pretty murky. Some interpret the passage to mean they will make everyone a mage, and others interpret it to mean that non-mages will be killed by the event. The Messiah will be heralded by four individuals known as the Guardians; individuals with much stronger aura levels than anyone else.

Some must be warriors that others may live in peace.
