Skelle 0 Share Posted September 25, 2021 I'm creating a wolf rpg and I am looking for some help on getting something added that shows the recent in character posts at the top of my site. I can provide examples of other sites so there is a full understanding on what I am looking for, and I will also link my site privately if needed! c.widow 123 Share Posted October 16, 2021 No worries! So I would suggest downloading a recent posts plugin. Here are a couple I know of. Extend MyBB - Recent Threads On Index COMMUNITY.MYBB.COM Extend MyBB - Latest Posts on sidebar COMMUNITY.MYBB.COM Alternatively the prostats plugin has many different statistics to show. Skelle 0 Author Share Posted October 23, 2021 I can't figure out where to install plugins once I've downloaded them. I have the a plugin installed, but I didn't do it, so I'm not exactly sure where I should be looking for that?
c.widow 123 Share Posted October 30, 2021 Plugins uploaded should be visible in your Admin CP -> Configuration -> Plugins ( yoursiteurl.com/admin/index.php?module=config-plugins ) You will then click Install & Activate on the plugin in question. ❤️
Skelle 0 Author Share Posted October 30, 2021 I see that, but when I download them where do I upload them?
c.widow 123 Share Posted October 31, 2021 Most plugins will come with their own documentation on where the files included should go! If the mod does not come with documentation and contains a single php file then that file should be uploaded to the below. 'root' meaning the area of where your core files are (generally in public_html but if you use a subfolder to manage your forum software area it would be the subfolder). root/inc/plugins If the plugin still lacks documentation on where the files go, but there are directories such as jscripts, inc, or admin at the root of the plugin download’s folder, then upload the files within those directories to the respective folders of your MyBB installation.
