Membership Have you ever had a dream about yours or someone else's character?

Last night I dreamt that I apped a character on an RP site (genre unknown now that I'm awake), and I received a PM from the admin with the approval of the app. In it were things she expected to see as the character developed on the site, such as a thread where the character finds out he is allergic to apples, and a plot in which he found himself joining a gang. I don't remember the exact things from my dream, but they were required and very specific. Some went against who my character was. Dream me sat there for quite some time trying to decide if it was worth it. At last I decided to go with it since it might be a fun challenge.

 

When I woke up, it made me wonder how something like this would actually work out. I think it would drive people insane - especially if they weren't prepared for it like dream me was.

I have rather vivid dreams and thoughts about my characters and/or another person's.  They roll like films in my head, allowing me the skill to start most plots amidst suffering.

In dreams, I have become my dragon brush on 4 different occasions, Set'th my wild human-lizard person once, and Sem who's my avatar pic once.
I've also dreamed that I've met some characters who were mine and rarely those of other players. They don't always look the same as their actual designs, but I know who they are supposed to be anyhow.

One of my best friends who I RP with and I are always having dreams about each other's characters. I think the latest one was one of hers. Basically, what had happened was two of her characters chose the same wedding date, and one character didn't like it (she doesn't like the other character) and my character (who is mutually involved with both of them, one as a BFF type, the other as a motherly type) was dragged into it.

 

It turned out so good that it's now kinda-established canon, lol.

I've absolutely done this.  Even had dreams where I've dreamed about an entirely new character who has joined the site. Only to when I log on in the morning, or whenever I get around to it, find they don't exist.  🙈

I always dream about my characters. Sometimes I get awesome plot ideas from dreams 😄

Some have been funny, a few have let to actual canon moments or inspired ideas, some have been plain stupid and too embarrassing to talk about :')
