Kaycakes 78 Share Posted October 1, 2016 So, I realized last week that I really needed to find my own images and stocks to offer if I want someone to take up my graphic requests. I even played around on GIMP myself on some mock-up ideas but really, I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm on a deadline (Oct 14th). I remember seeing somewhere about morguefiles and pixabay. A friend of mine showed me how to look on deviantart for textures and paper stocks. What resources do you guys generally use for free vectors, stocks, images, and patterns? Bonus points if they offer late 18th century and India stuffs. I love anything relating to India religions, ruined archways, silhouettes of elephants, artistic rendering of peacocks, tigers, marbleized texturing, India motifs / stencils (including a conch), and 18th century stuff that is obvious like maybe fashion or riding a carriage. home sweet home. 18th century British India rp. KARA BELLA 18 Share Posted October 1, 2016 I don't know about historic stuff since I have never done a historic site but maybe just google search for stock websites and see what comes up? Thats all I really do and I only do it for images for my site graphics, not for textures or anything like that. 1 Profile graphics by @Lirschen

I think I might have been too specific in my searches perhaps. I'm just super cautious of making sure I find something with creative license rather than just stealing images. It's just that everything that I look for in motifs and whatnot are ... well... not freeee. Meh. Especially Mehndi designs. 2 hours ago, Morrigan said: @kay I use DeveiantArt a lot personally. Still hunting up something simple for macros. Thank you! 1 home sweet home. 18th century British India rp. Jcink premium. be geeky with me! Admin Morrigan 1,826 Admin Share Posted October 2, 2016 A good tip that I have for DA is that if you need it. If you find something "close" sometimes hunting into a the account may prove more fruitful then just the search. Most accounts that have something will have many things within the same strain. 3 Profile set made by myself and original Artwork by Fae Merriman, my daughter. MNHorus 2 Share Posted December 27, 2016 I recommend using planet renders as that is where I get many of my renders from. Very useful site for me anyways.
