What is your favourite TV show at this very moment in time and tell us why or a describe a bit about it right here!

Mine is The Walking Dead because my husband decided to binge watch it just before Season 6 returned and got me hooked. It's the one show I've managed to watch each week diligently since then.

Banshee! My friend has been showing me videos of it for five-ever as one of her more recent PBs is the main character in it. And it's a Cinemax original series which is basically a lot of really crazy action combined with a moderate amount of soft core porn (super soft core JSYK).

I think my favorite part of this is the main character isn't necessarily an anti-hero like what seems to be popular nowadays he just seems to be a dark gray character.

Black Sails

This freaking show.

I'm pretty sure it will hold the title for my favourite tv show for a very long time. I love that I love all the characters even when they're working against each other. I love that it is brutal and gritty but it isn't cynical about human nature. I love how much it relishes intertextuality and how hints from season 1 aren't picked up again until season 4. I love how within the realm of grimdark genre it's subverting like nobody's business. And Toby Stephens' acting in particular? Wow. Oh! And the attention to detail is pretty fantastic.

Also --insert all these plot points that have destroyed me--

I wasn't too keen on the endless sex and rape of season 1. No, I wasn't keen, at all. I was going to give it up if it kept along that theme but Black Sails dropped those plots like a hot stone and focussed on what makes the show special. The characters.

I'm also really enjoying The Middle right now. XD It's just a kind show with some fantastic characters.

SKAM.

SKAM.

ugh I freaking love it.

"I'm too old for watching high school dramas." Fawn, upon hearing about this show that everyone seems to love.

nope. I'm not too old. It carefully addresses very mature themes of gender, sexuality, and religion and I just adore it.

Also, the concept that the show rolls out live (i.e. if a scene takes place on a thursday at 3pm, that scene will go live on the SKAM website on thursday at 3pm) is glorious and makes it seem so real. (even though I can't take advantage of it since I don't have a Norwegian IP)

Pushing Daisies, always and forever. Nothing's been able to trump it in story, characters and themes for me. I love watching it, no matter what mood I'm in, and the unique narrative style still manages to fascinate me.

Doctor Who. Doctor goddamn Who. omfg I will rant for ages. I was a bit apprehensive about the new season at the first episode, because the whole episode seemed to revolve around the new companion and how she's a lesbian and THAT WAS GODDAMN IT THE ONLY PLOT POINT and I'm all for non-hetero folks on tv but it's 2017 it does not need to be a big deal. BUT despite my apprehensions the season has been fantastic so far <3

I haven't been able to finish it yet, but was really enjoying the old Canadian animated series based on Redwall by Brian Jacques.

I would say Longmire, but that just ended.

Instead, I'll say... The Ancient Magus' Bride. Sadly, I had to cancel my VRV sub, due to finances, but I'll hopefully have it back soon.

I can't give you the white picket fence, and if I did, you'd set it on fire.

Magnificent Century.

It's a Turkish drama about the Ottoman empire. It's so addictive and I have to rely on subtitles to work out what they're saying, too. lol

I have been IN LOVE with: The Exorcist (Fox channel, Hulu has all seasons), Lucifer (also Fox I think), and The Orville.

Holy marinara, Punisher was soooooooo good. Like, hella hard to watch, but so good. Just started Marco Polo, and I'm still making up my mind about it. I am so hyped for Star Trek Discovery to return though. <3
