I'm tired of admins/mods who jump on other people for bringing up something that an admin disagrees with when the person wasn't causing any actual harm, they were just confused. Especially when it's a new person and the board is fandom. Yes, your board is AU, but your AU setting and info isn't written out nearly as clearly as you think it is. Instead of calmly explaining that "hey, this is how we wanted things to be in this version", the admin pretty much bites the head off the person who was confused. Like, chill out. It's not a personal attack against you...just explain and move on. 

 

I am tired of people who randomly throw their characters into an event/activity that is already going down between a set of characters. It's not fun. It's messy and makes it really confusing and frustrating. It's one thing to be involved, but considering that was already set and there were plenty of other opportunities...why randomly throw your character in for no good reason?

 

I'm tired of not being able to find a role play site where I can actually use all of my characters. Every forum I find is 13+ or 18+. I want to play my little ones that I have literally spent years developing and playing, only for all the places I could use them end up dying. I am tired of just wanting adult/smut plots. Why can't there be a cute kid/parent/family relationship once in a while? 

 

I am also very tired of getting excited for a plot/thread and then the other person deciding they prefer other threads over it and never respond. It's okay to have favorites, but you can't just completely neglect the other ones...

That one person that will only write their character in threads with the character they are stalking for a romance! I've been known to tell people they need to branch out because writing nothing but romance bores me to death. I enjoy it, but as an element for my characters, not as their only story!

This is a weird one... But I'm tired of random people I've never spoken to approaching me and asking me to staff their sites... Bonus points if it has nothing to do with anything I've expressed interest in. Just once wouldn't have phased me but its happened like four times in the past six months and while I guess I should be flattered it's gettin' a bit creepy.

I'm tired of the hours long gif and picture hunts for when you have one or deal with someone's FC maybe charismatic but damn hard to find anywhere on the internet. Or if no picture seems right.

I know it looks much more dynamic with pics, but it takes forever, it's masochist!

I am tired, as an admin, of being treated like I owe some of my members my soul. Our app turnover rate is typically under 12 hours - the one day I take off from apps/claims etc (after warning everyone) is of course the day a member puts up an app with a 2.5k word count history and then throws a fit because "tomorrow is my day off, I want to play him". I get days off too. 

 

Spoiler: The App was reviewed the next morning before they even signed in.

I feel this on a spiritual level. Fortunately, this latest batch of members hasn't been initiated in the  "nownownow wantwantwant" club. I understand the excitement and wanting to jump into something, I do. There's just only so much admins can do and heaven forbid we try to take a day off. I remember hating going away for a little while and then checking for messages because there was always something. I'd get paragraphs of someone chewing my head off for something I had no idea what was going on and then scrambling to get it fixed. It was exhausting and I stopped enjoying a place I once called home. 

 

I'm so tired of... my caffeine intake not giving me the magical ability to perform the moment my cup of coffee is finished. I wonder sometimes if Dr. Frankenstein was on the right track with that whole jolt of electricity idea.

I'm so tired of the needless petty negative vibes. I occasionally read through confessions and peeves when I've got a minute to myself just to see if there are some common moods in the community. Lately, though? I've found some truly petty things to be upset about. To each their own, but damn. It's really made me double check where a few people play and avoid those sites like the plague. I'll just go breathe in this corner of the internet and hope your highness doesn't get offended. It's a hobby find someone to help pull that stick out of your behind.
