Hello! I have been lurking around here for a year or so, it was finally time to make an account and introduce myself.

 

• How long have you been RPing? More than half of my life! Probably started on Neopets message boards/guilds about 16-17 years ago when I was in middle school. Graduated to forum writing not long thereafter and did it pretty regularly through high school and college. Even ran a fairly successful board of my own when I was 15-19 or so. Joined up on other people's boards through college... Took some years off after marriage and kids but back at it again.
   
• What are your favorite RP genres? Tolkien fandom. Fantasy.... also have done Harry Potter.  But yeah, Tolkien based is my favorite... love the places and cultures.
   
• How do you like to RP (Forum, chat, email)? Forum! Though I love a bit of randomfire chat RP if it's with fun people.
   
• What country are you from? USA
   
• What is your favorite book, movie or type of music (or all three)?  Anything by Tolkien. Also loving ASoIaF right now. Favorite music is everything instrumental as well as Celtic, Opera, Hymns and Contemporary Christian, Raqs Sharqi and New Agey type stuff. And I'm obsessed with musicals. My favorites are Les Mis and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. LOREENNA McKENNITT is my favorite musician. I saw her in concert last year... loooooooved it. All over the place here.
   
• What other interest/Hobbies do you have? Music-- I dabble in many instruments, just about any variety of wind instrument, guitar, mandolin, uke, my current love interest is hammered dulcimer. Roadtrips-- I love traveling/living in my car for extended weeks/months, visiting national parks and doing photography, lots of hiking and camping. I love maps. I'm a crafter, have a hobby etsy shop and make toys from natural materials like wool and wood. Also a homeschooling parent so educational ideas are sort of a hobby and lots of field trips. Pinterest is a fine hobby of mine as well, if it can be considered a hobby... I do actually attempt a lot of the things I pin. I love gardening and chickens. I want to own some sheep soon.
   
• What's your favorite color? Green, blue, grey/silver
   
• What's your favorite drink? Diet pepsi (I know it's terrible for me), and elderberry wine.

Welcome aboard! I love Tolkien too. And Loreena McKennit, and "Seven wives for seven brothers". I didn't know that there are other people remembering that lovely movie and loving it! (I love "Fiddler on the roof" too, as I saw you mentioned it.)
