Hello everyone! I am new here, looking to get some help with my new Lord of the Rings/Game of Thrones crossover RP forum. Nice to meet you all!

  • How long have you been RPing?: I have been roleplaying for a little over four years now, with a mix of forum, tumblr, and tabletop roleplaying.
  • What are your favorite RP genres?: Fantasy and superheroes. If it is sciency at all than it needs to be Science Fantasy. I just love magic.
  • How do you like to RP (Forum, chat, email)?: I have been on several RP forums over the years, though I also do some Tumblr roleplaying.
  • What is your favorite book, movie or type of music (or all three)?: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Disney
  • What other interest/Hobbies do you have?: Basically anything and everything fantasy related. I love reading and writing, and am currently working on the second draft of my first novel.
  • What's your favorite color?: Gold
  • What's your favorite drink?: Mango smoothies.

After a mysterious flash of light across the world known as the Event, people begin to exhibit... unusual abilities. Almost overnight the world goes from normal to mad, as anything becomes possible, and a few individuals affected by the Event learn what having power truly means.

@Gandalf in Westeros

Hello hello! Welcome to the Initiative! I hope you enjoy your time here! Fantasy is my personal bread and butter. What types of tabletops have you done?

Also, it's so great to meet another person writing a book! Do you have a synopsis? I'm still on my first draft - paranormal/supernatural romance focused on the setting my site actually takes place in. I'm hoping to have it done and edited by the end of the year!

Anyway, please let myself or any of the other staff know if you have any questions! We're always around, and I'm sure I'll see you on the forums!

@eleholly

I've played a bit of Pathfinder and 5e DnD, but my favorite system by far is Fantasy Flight Games's Narrative Dice System (Which they use in their line of Star Wars RPGs and their new Genesys RPG)

Its always cool to meet other novelists.

Thanks!

I love Disney and Lord of the rings as well, and I am also a novelist! Welcome to the Initiative!

What country are you from? I am sailing from the Black Sea and I swear I am not a vampire! (neither Vlad the Impaler was one, just a cruel prince...)

I was born in Canada, but I’ve lived in the USA most of my life.

There are plenty of Americans here. I am always on the hunt for fellow Europeans and other exotic places... like that one Down Under :P

Okay. Canada’s not very exotic. Just really cold.

I live near Canada! It's so much different here than where I grew up. I'm definitely not in Kentucky anymore. :P Toronto is my favorite place in the entire world. If I could live there, I probably would, so I guess for me, Canada is quite exotic hahaha!

I suppose it depends where you are. I lived in Edmonton, which has two seasons: the Ice Age and mosquitos.

I'm near Niagara Falls. We have four seasons: Summer, almost winter, winter, and still winter. :|
