Icewolf 258 Share Posted May 28, 2018 I get redirected to the icyboards admin cp when I log in. I've had a look through settings, and found these which I think maybe a problem as they appear to point to icyboards. $settings['avataruploadpath'] = "./userfiles/legendsofarda/uploads/avatars"; $settings['bburl'] = "http://legendsofarda.icyboards.net"; $settings['cookiedomain'] = ".legendsofarda.icyboards.net"; $settings['homeurl'] = "http://legendsofarda.icyboards.net"; $settings['uploadspath'] = "./userfiles/legendsofarda/uploads"; $settings['cdnurl'] = "https://static18.icyboards.net/legendsofarda"; (I've changed this one as it's in the guide, but I think the others are wrong, too.) Kit the Human 757 Share Posted May 28, 2018 Thanks for reaching out! Your asking for help may help other people who may be looking on. The settings file that you are looking at is written by mybb. Remember the fields I asked you to change in the ACP? Those will rewrite the settings above. Trying to edit the settings file will just result in it being rewritten with the values that are in the ACP. So onto your problem. I understand that every time you log into the admin cp, you find yourself in the icyboards ACP. What I'm not clear on is if you are clicking on the ACP link in the userlinks and that link is redirecting you to the icyboards ACP, or if you getting to the right login screen! To test, manually plug in your ACP address and attempt to log in. Your ACP is just your domain with /admin on the end. So yourdomain.com/admin/ Let me know whether or not you're successful. If you're not, give me a few hours to get to a computer and I can help further! @Icewolf PSI: an Occult Investigations RP Roleplay Architects: Grab a friend (or many friends!) and just write. Icewolf 258 Author Share Posted May 29, 2018 (edited) Thanks. I've managed to get into it, so it must be a problem with the links somewhere. I can't find those things in the acp. When I click on configuration or any of the other links, I keep getting directed to the log in page - http://forum.legends-of-arda.uk/admin/index.php?module=config Edited May 29, 2018 by Icewolf Legends of Arda Character Archives

Icewolf 258 Author Share Posted May 29, 2018 (edited) My host has sorted it out now so I can log in and go into configurations, etc. I've found site details and the settings.php looks ok now, but I still have these which I'm not sure are right. Will leaving them mess up uploads? $settings['avataruploadpath'] = "./userfiles/legendsofarda/uploads/avatars"; $settings['uploadspath'] = "./userfiles/legendsofarda/uploads"; Edit: The log in isn't stable because I even after sorting the site details out, I still have the same issue and my host won't help me with it. Admin Morrigan 1,825 Admin Share Posted May 29, 2018 So to confirm @Icewolf what is your domain for your forum?: http://legends-of-arda.uk/ ???? Also, can you download your settings.php and your config.php, please remove any passwords and upload them to your post so I can take a look? 1 Profile set made by myself and original Artwork by Fae Merriman, my daughter. Icewolf 258 Author Share Posted May 30, 2018 The url for the forum is http://forum.legends-of-arda.uk/ as it's on a subdomain. I don't know what's causing the issue as at first it seems fine when I'm on the page, but when I close it, and then go back to it later, I can't get back in again, or I get the issue I described. settings(1).php config(1).php Legends of Arda Character Archives
Admin Morrigan 1,825 Admin Share Posted May 30, 2018 Can you please submit a ticket @Icewolf I won't do this for everyone but I want to see the issue. We will need admin access and FTP access. https://rpginitiative.com/support/ Profile set made by myself and original Artwork by Fae Merriman, my daughter. VirusZero 176 Share Posted May 30, 2018 This may not have anything to do with it, but worth a shot anyway... Are you using the theme from the IcyBoards version of the site? If so, can you check your login and index templates and make sure there are no references to icyboards there? (EX- index_loginform) And the headerinclude (under "ungrouped") for references to icyboards? Or try using a default/alternate theme to see if the issue happens there too? Icewolf 258 Author Share Posted May 31, 2018 I can't even get into the themes section to check. Legends of Arda Character Archives
Admin Morrigan 1,825 Admin Share Posted May 31, 2018 In the end this ended up just being a cached files/cookies issue. Possibly from the domain move etc. Once the cached files/cookies were cleared the redirection/login issue was resolved. Profile set made by myself and original Artwork by Fae Merriman, my daughter.
