Hello! I go by Salt witch, saltwaterwitch or poppy. I've been on a couple of sites and I'm spreading my wings for advertising purposes but also I genuinely enjoy reading roleplay talk. I can't count how many times I've been helped by stuff I've read on other resource sites and I'm excited to learn more on RPG Initiative. A little about me:

  • How long have you been RPing? Since the early 2000s, so quite a while but I've taken breaks inbetween.
  • What are your favorite RP genres? Supernatural, powers, real life, panfandoms, horror, mythology and fairytale
  • How do you like to RP (Forum, chat, email)? These days it's strictly on forums but in the past I cut my teeth on and played at blog based rps. I've also dabbled in twitter.
  • What country are you from? Canada
  • What is your favorite book, movie or type of music (or all three)? Practical Magic for the first two, classic rock for the third.
  • What other interest/Hobbies do you have? bullet journaling, crochet, cooking, video games,
  • What's your favorite color? Teal blue
  • What's your favorite drink? Coffee

Omgosh, I recently got back into crochet because I desperately wanted a moogle plushie but they're too expensive to buy. It's... been interesting. Attaching limbs is hard!

We've got some amazing discussions here, and a really awesome community. You'll be right at home!

(also I am Australian, and Australians love Canadians, so YAY CANADA!)

Practical Magic is a great flick. I have never read the book but if you like them both they must both be awesome. Welcome to the Initiative @saltwaterwitch

@saltwaterwitch  Welcome to the Initiative!

Like Morrigan, I've never read the book, but enjoyed the movie (Practical Magic).

And coffee! YES! I just found a new blend by Black Rifle Coffee Company called Gunship. It is so smooth! I dislike bitter coffees.

We're glad you found us!

Someone somewhere went to sleep and dreamed us all alive.
Dreams get pushed around a lot, and I doubt if we'll survive.
We won't get to wake up, dreams were born to disappear.
And I'm pretty sure that none of us are here.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I agree Mousie, attaching limbs is very hard. One of my favourite plushies to crochet is an octopus just because the pattern I use makes the eight legs super easy to add. The love is mutual lol.

As for Practical Magic, the book is a bit different with less obvious magic use and some changes but I think they're still close enough that fans of one could enjoy the other.

That sounds delicious Stormwolfe. One store nearby where I live gets an odd assortment of coffee from everywhere so I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

That is a pretty great UN. Actual witch or just like the name? (Nothin' wrong with either!)

Thank you! In that my beliefs do run pretty pagan, yes. In the Harry Potter sense, not so much sadly lol.
