I'm a friendly guy in my 30s. I love children, human psychology, animals, researching stuff, past centuries, and creative writing. I'm not very chatty when it comes to ooc stuff but a little, and do enjoy occasionally discussing common interests. I'm very much a fan boy, though in writing I prefer creating original charcaters into the pre-existing universes. My all time favourite fandoms are: Peter Pan (the original book), Harry Potter books, The Phantom of the Opera (the ALW stage musical and its movie version), and Disney's The Lion King. Oh, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I also like Being Human UK Series very much.
I'm a very passionate writer; my avergae post is 500-700 words and often well over 1000 words. Though 200 words is not too rare either. More importantly, I love to advance plots slowly, to really dig into the characters' heads and into the situations and not hurry from one to the next. I also tend to do a lot of research before and while I write. I don't use instant messengers, I do plotting and discussing in private messages on the board. I like to plan a basic plot for every thread but leave enough room for improvasing, and to discuss the story/characters also while playing whenever needed--again in PMs.
Do you like rapid fire or to wait a few days for a post?
A few days is fine. Occasionally even two weeks is okay. I don't do rapid-fire.
Do you allow people to god-mode or power play your characters without permission?
Yes, god-moding is okay to a degree.
The limitations are the obvious ones: don't kill or cause permanent injuries, don't decide what they say, feel or do, or how they react. And don't move my character from place A to place B as if it was your own. Other than those your character may even physically hurt my character, and you can move my character as long as yours is touching them while doing so. I.e. your adult character picks up my child character to carry him, or takes him by the hand/whatever and leads somewhere--instead of just writing my character moving. With this I aim at easily flowing narration when permission isn't needed every single time as well as realism because there is no way a person could always avoid being touched/hurt. But of course, if I do ask to remove a god-mod moment you should be willing to do so. That is rarely needed, though. Mainly if I had other strong visions for that specific moment that I can't write later.
I'm fine with graphic content and any rating, but prefer it being R/15+ tops. I don't care to write sex scenes so if there were any of those I would fade-to-black with them. I'm open to writing almost any adult themes. I have very few triggers and it's unlikely anyone wants to RP such characters, so I'll just let you know if you happen to suggest one.
Plots I'd Like
I love family life / everyday life / slice-of-life plots, I deeply enjoy them, and that is what I'm looking for. Of course drama is important but I don't like it to be the focus of everything. I enjoy just exploring family/everyday life in cultures, countries and worlds I haven't lived in and developing characters and relationsghips in them. I much prefer settings in past decades or centuries rather than current day, but there can be some exceptions when current day setting works better. In example, Harry Potter games I always set in the 1980s and 1990s. But a Being Human game I would be glad to set in the current day. And of course a late 19th century setting is fun, i.e. a Little House on the Prairie game.
Here is a Wanted Ad for several personal plots involving my OC characters, in the Harry Potter universe--mainly to be played on my own current HP rpg site becuase it could really use more members/players but I am willing to play any of those on a private forum just for the two of us as well.
I'm also very much into the Little House on the Prairie setting/period but an rpg wouldn't have to involve canons. I have a wealthy little oc family who returned to their farmer roots and a Native American father and son OCs, all just waiting for a chance to be further developed. It's just that the first time my writing partner rudely disappeared/stopped reacting to my PMs and the second time my partner quit for personal irl reasons before we even properly got started so I don't have much faith in anyone being truly interested in this. I hope someone someday is.
