It is the year 2293. After a hundred years of travel the Earth Colony Ship Reliant has reached its destination and its colonists awake to a nightmare. Half of the ship has been overrun with monsters. The automated colony beachhead has lost contact with the ship and the world they were to colonize seems to be much more dangerous than first anticipated. Fifty light years from help the colonists are on their own; there will be no rescue.

A Dreadful Star is a horror-themed science fiction RP based on properties like Dead Space, Signalis and Metroid! As either a human or replika colonist or crewman of the colony ship Reliant the colony's survival will depend on your decisions! We are a player plot-focused board with an emphasis on survival horror themes. Whether it's finding a new planet to colonize or fighting through the hordes of monsters aboard the ship one thing is clear; there will be no rescue.
