  • Old money, dysfunctional, southern family

In Turkeyfoot history, there has always been a Clabaugh. At the founding? A Clabaugh. Trying to save the fourth courthouse from burning down? A Clabaugh. At the legendary board meeting where a citizen fully slugged a commissioner? A Clagbaugh. This is a request for the most recent generations of Clabaughs!

They are a family that is involved in a lot of things in town and have their fingers in a lot of pies. They try to maintain alliances with good, important people and are not above being underhanded in as sneaky of a way as possible. They're rich and the parents are both a little emotionally distant. They've never really known how to connect to their kids and it's affected the kids in a big way - duh. But they do love their kids. They just have giant expectations for them and the kids rarely meet them, even if they're doing well.

We can discuss the particulars but this is an old money family in a small, Southern town - they're very much a church-going family (or they were when the kids were little). The parents, at least, are more judgemental and closed-off to new people. The kids can go either way. If they want their parents' approval, they'll need to jump through every hoop presented to them. I imagine the kids are a little messed up from their parents. Again, we can discuss it! You can post here or DM me on Discord @ ranchstressing !
