Rules

  1. What's new in this coterie
  2. Accio. Getting up to grab a beer is annoying when you're comfortable and watching a show.
  3. Winter gas prices suck here. I know being able to Apparate would save a lot of $$$ right now and I have a pretty high nausea tolerance, so. How about you guys? No dementors might be nice IRL, but what's a spell that fills you with yearning for the Wizarding World?
  4. I guess if I absolutely had to choose... I'd choose Molly Weasley. Maybe it's just the mom in me. But seriously, putting up with all those kids without completely losing her mind AND taking on a couple extra 'adopted' ones... Phew. I've only got two and that's a bit much for me some days. lol Then losing one, of course... I can't even imagine the pain. She's a tough old bird.
  5. My favorite character is Neville Longbottom. He's a goof at first, but then he ends up being very brave by standing up to Voldemort.
  6. This isn't so much a roleplay story as a headcanon, but I love the idea that Slytherins all learn sign language to keep the mermaids from getting bored.
  7. My wand is Yew wood with a Phoenix feather core 12 ½" and Slightly Springy flexibility

  9. I'm amused that no one is a Gryffindor.
  10. I'm ashamed I never thought to pick Crookshanks before, @Kit the Human! Since you put the idea in my head, 100% Crookshanks, but before I might have said McGonagall. I will never forget 'have a biscuit, Potter.'
  11. Percy Weasley. And Fleur Delacour. Percy is my misunderstood blacksheep who began to sabotage Voldemort's regime from inside the Ministry, making him the baddest of all the Weasleys and Fleur defied the expectations people had of her.
  12. The first time I took the Pottermore sorting thing, I was a Hufflepuff. Then I took it a second time and was sorted into Slytherin. I took it again like two months ago and was sorted into Gryffindor. Personally, I think I'm more Slytherin than anything --- this coming from someone who repped hard for Hufflepuff for YEARS.
  13. I didn't watch the first one for a long time like it was out on iTunes to buy and all that. Man oh man was I mad at myself, I LOVED that movie. I couldn't wait for the next and back then that felt like a million years and now here it is right around the corner! My friend and I are going to dress up and go opening night, I'm super excited and the latest trailer just blew my mind.
  14. I've been avoiding any promotional materials (trailers, news releases, etc.) so as to avoid spoilers and moderate expectations. I absolutely adored Fantastic Beasts as it was an HP movie I didn't already know the story for AND it was set in one of my favourite time periods, but I didn't love the casting/styling of Depp as Grindelwald. Am absolutely excited to see the new film, but am not convinced it will have quite the same magic to it.
  15. Almost a month away before FB2: Crimes of Grindelwald releases. Wondering if anyone is as excited about the new movie as I am. I enjoyed the first Fantastic Beasts because the characters were beautifully constructed and not your typical heroes nor did they try to just recycle the original HP with a chosen one. Also, I found the interactions between Queenie and Jacob so stinkin cute I wanted to puke rainbows. So what are your thoughts? Did you like the first Fantastic Beasts? Are you excited for the second? Can nothing hold a candle to the original Harry Potter?
  16. I'm a proud Hufflepuff! Granted my bf swears up and down I'm a Ravenclaw, he's a Slytherin xD
