Wellllll..... since you hooked me and I joined, I think you got a pretty good handle on it! Mainly in the past, it's been because of losing a GM (game master), and the players not plotting or continuing to just play their characters.

Would you two (and others) mind sharing some insights with me? I'm starting one right now, and would love to know what you'd like to see, and what you'd personally avoid. Thanks!

*le sigh* I am going through withdrawals! I was in a few Firefly rpgs on a site that was multi-genre and it was pretty awesome when it was on point and had the players and activity and gamemasters. But it fell and I am sad and *crosses fingers* I won't be long. I was also on one that was strictly a Firefly site, but it didn't feel right, like just off so I left the site. I checked in on it not long ago and it's dead. 😞

They did a pretty good job of coming up with the reasoning behind Reavers in the movie, like you said. I always sort of looped them in with like a mixture of vampires and zombies. I don't even know why!

We have the California Browncoats, but the hubby and I aren't members. We do stop by their booth every SDCC and keep trying to do the Firefly meet up, but it is always at the same time as something else. I think this year, we are gonna make sure we attend though!

I'm not a member, but there's a group where I live as well, which would be New York City. They don't have a site, just a Facebook group. They organize meet ups and other events. LINK

So you have the Guild and Companions which is basically condoned prostitution. What do you think of that? Do you think it's fair that non-guild prostitutes are considered basically rubbish and snubbed? Do you think that the guild should have that much power and influence?

So they explain reavers in the show but more-so in the movie but what is your thoughts of reavers? What do you think motivates them? Why did they actually go mad?

Wash is my favorite character. He’s always upbeat even when things look shitty. I really hate that they killed him off in the movie. Then again I wish they would have brought back the show.
