I wanted something wintery because Ezio has ice-based powers, he leans toward ice magic, where Morgyn leans toward fire. This fire and ice symbolism motif follows them everywhere they go, it's quite fun to play with. Morgyn maintains that Ezio is the stronger of the two of them, and while that's debatable to an extent... Morgyn's probably right. Ezio is, however, also dying, he has an illness that will most likely follow him until he dies, and because he's biologically immortal, it will also be what kills him, if anything does.
