The Techie Village Idiot's Review! Absolutely awesome IPS Mod! The instructions were very clear and concise. Even I managed to install it with zero errors or issues. I did post a couple of questions in our IPS coterie, but they were 'how IPS works' sort of questions not anything to do with actually installing the mod. It's beautiful, easy to set up and a breeze to use. I look forward to offering my sites for affiliation very soon! Thank you, @Morrigan, for sharing this!

Seriously the absolute best mod to have on an SMF forum. If you want your forum to be completely mobile friendly this is the mod for you. Yes, it takes a little tweaking, and SMF can be a PITA to get used to from the staff side. But honestly, I could not imagine going back to Jcink now. The Character Mod takes coding completely out of your members' hands. Automated claims lists, self sorting into membergroups which are now much more robust than before. No more fiddly apps to copy and paste. No more finding your 'approval stamp' or sorting membergroups to get a character ready to go. They just fill in the biography fields then tick a checkbox. You review it and approve or return it to them for edits. You'll never have to worry that someone is editing an already accepted app or go through the trouble of locking/unlocking apps to make sure people aren't changing up stuff they shouldn't. You can tell the mod what fields they're allowed to change without needing approval. It just cuts out so much of the work an admin does! Who doesn't want more time to write?! My co-admin does all of her posting, character creating, and huge portion of her admin duties from her Iphone. This mod has made character creation, editing, and approving 100% easier for her. Cannot recommend it enough. And it's FREE. I would have paid for a license to run this on my forum. It is that good. I'm cheap af and broke always too so really me saying I would give someone money for something is about the highest praise I can offer. The support Arceus offers is fantastic too. There's a reason my staff team calls her SMF Jesus.

After some trial and error and excellent support from Arceus, I got it to work and it's brilliant! I've used a lot of similar things in the past, but this one pretty much takes all the best things about those other ones and rolls it all into one. I'm still figuring things out, but that's just because I'm still new to SMF, in general. I haven't moved all the players over from the old board yet, but I can already tell they're going to love how easy it is to use the manager. This is the mod every rpg forum needs.

I was drawn right away by the space theme. There is enough colors that make everything stand out perfect without over doing it. The only thing that turned me off on this is the brown background you use in a couple places because I feel that it took away from the feel. On the background for the test forum title, I would suggest just keeping it the nice blue over the brown. The main image that you are able to see when you look at the chatbox is amazing. The kind of rough and weathered space appearance is refreshing against a lot of the pristine space you tend to see. This is definitely an amazing 9 out of 10. I think if maybe the brown as darker shade it would blend a little better to me.
