divabeq 1 Share Posted April 3 I think OOC chat encourages players to hang around even when things slow down for a bit. If people are friends, they're more likely to check back and contribute. Our site tends to have a lull in the winter (seasonal affective disorder, amiright?) and having people we're friendly with means they'll still be there when the sun comes back out in the Spring. 😛 And we've mandated the use of Discord. It's how the GMs communicate with people and make announcements. Our board is mostly just for in character stuff. jtferdinand 0 Share Posted April 8 This has been quite enlightening for me. The board I created is mostly OOC with an IC room separately, of course that means members will use their account with their identity within the RGP, the premise is they can be themselves within the fantasy if they wish but they can maintain any character traits they wish or roll if they are adventurous.
