Do you join sites with an over-abundance of gifs?

I think there's a fine line between what's a good amount of gifs and what's too many. For me, 3 is about the sweet spot (but not even all at the same time, more like one on the mini profile and then a couple on the main profile), but beyond that, I think it starts to get to an over reliance on the face claim. I also think this is partly because 3 gifs + 1 main image is a good amount to show different facets of a character without it clearly being "oh, I love this face and that's the only thing I care about". I have seen sites that have tens of gifs on a profile, and at that point, I think it's clearly just about the face claims. It won't fully stop me from joining a site if I'm interested enough in the plot, but it is a bit of a red flag.

 

On a more technological note, my laptop cannot run with too many gifs either, so I prefer a lower amount for that reason too. I do think some sites don't take into account that not everyone has incredibly powerful computers that can run that much.
