    Favorite Race

Trill are probably my favourites as well. But there's so much to like about all the other races as well. The Cardassians, the Bajorans, the Romulans. All very strong candidates for 2nd place.
  3. I absolutely agree with @RaWolfe the universe has so much potential and freedom that there's tons of games out there exploring everything that's happening outside of the scope of the series! What I love about most Star Trek games is that we're explicitly exploring new things, banning relationships to and writing of canon characters (unless you do the mandatory visit to Deep Space Nine, of course). I've been playing for 20 years now and I hope to be doing it for many more!

    Favorite Ship

The nicest ship to look at, I feel, is probably the Nova-class. It's so sleek and sexy and science-y 😛 Close second is the Akira class. Though I also thought the Sovereign class was a huge upgrade compared to the Galaxy, its design just made so much more sense for a space ship!

    Favorite Canon

I have to say I wasn't familiar with the use of Canon in this way 😛 and I also think Star Trek is a lot more strict in accepting what is and isn't canon (basically only things that were committed to camera is true canon) Favourite character is a very difficult one to answer, but it's probably someone from DS9 as those characters had the most chance to gestate and develop. Especially when it comes to the antagonists. I absolutely loved to hate Kai Wynn. And Gul Dukat was something else entirely. I think I'd have to go with 'Plain and Simple' Garak though. To stir up some shit, when I was a teen, I was absolutely smitten by Ezri, and I still like the character on rewatching the show. I think she'd done a whole lot better if given the opportunity to do additional seasons. Too much wrapping up was going on in the last season to allow for a new character to grow and get their own satisfying story-arc.
  6. In TNG the best episodes are the two parters, and knowing this you can't really get around Best of Both Worlds or Chain of Command, and I wouldn't be able to choose between the two. Voyager failed on so many levels because the writers were not allowed to write season spanning arcs, holding on to archaic episodal formatting really hurt Voyager's premise. For that reason I love the two-parter Equinox, which gives us a glimpse of what Voyager could've been. For DS9 the most feel good episode is the Baseball one, but the best I'd have to agree with Yona and go with 'In the Pale Moonlight', it's the perfect culmination of everything that DS9 promises to be. Star Trek: Enterprise really started to shine over the Xindi crisis in season 3 and was sadly cut too short. Even so, I won't pick a favourite out of those episodes because I feel they build on each other too much. The episode where Archer loses his memory, grows old and T'Pol takes care of him is one of my favourites (had to google the name, it's Twilight) Discovery's best episode was either the final scene in Season 1 where the Enterprise appeared, or the episode where Pike gets the time crystal and actively chooses his destiny, for the greater good, "Through the Valley of Shadows" In Picard I liked the reunion with the Rikers the best on Nepenthe (and in the episode Nepenthe).
  7. I really love Deep Space Nine and I will defend my stance that it was the best Star Trek created... especially when compared to its contemporaries (in TNG and Voyager). I'm, however, also very pleased with the new trek coming out. Discovery gave us a much needed injection of fresh ideas and storyline as well as modern format TV (serialised storytelling that made DS9 stand out so much) and Picard really ran with it. While I don't fully agree with some of the story decisions, I'm thoroughly enjoying every new episode that comes out (even lower decks, even though I've always told all of my friends I didn't like animated shows much).
  8. I have traditionally always said that ToS was my favourite, because that was what I was first introduced to (via reruns, watching with my dad when I was about 6 or so), but to actually go back and watch it has to be DS9. Plus, the new films have really diluted the magic of the ToS characters for me at this stage.
  9. In the Pale Moonlight from DS9 is my favorite episode of any Trek series. When Sisko ends it on "I can live with it. Computer, delete log." 😘 Perfection.

    Favorite Ship

The Defiant is stellar, though I've always appreciated the Akira class. Always wish it was explored more on-screen.
  11. I think DS9 will always be top for me, since it was my first introduction to Trek (it was on TV when I was growing up) and the darker themes it explored. Second would be Voyager. So much material to explore Third would be TNG. It's a classic, and although parts don't age well, it set the standard for which all newer series are compared.
  12. If I have to make a top 3? Voyager Enterprise (NX) Discovery Discovery never really stood on the top for me, but in the end, I passed the first episode and liked it eventually.
  13. RaWolfe

    Favorite Canon

I love Paris and Tucker, their characters were soo well done ❤️
  14. RaWolfe

    Favorite Ship

I always had a weak spot for the Nova class and the Nebula Class. I am not so fan of big ships or overweaponed battleships.
  15. I have been in this world for 18 years now and actually started my biggest plot so far. I love the dynamics in the world of Star Trek and how it is so open to do what you want and yet be in the lines of Star Trek.
  16. RaWolfe

    Favorite Race

I got to say the Betazoids are in the win for me, I play a character now that is like everything Betazoid is not and I love the inner house struggle she is enduring because she is different from her family and friends. The open culture in it and their open and free mind ❤️
  17. Picard! Such an iconic character. And I just love Patrick Stewart, what a great actor.
  18. Discovery. I find the modern approach so refreshing. And it was about time Star Trek joined modern television. Purists of the series hate it, but that's okay. I'd rather have Star Trek continue to be aired than be a dormant franchise.
  19. Which is your favorite ship. Of course you have the Enterprise in it's many versions but there are others. I love the Defiant, small and maneuverable.
  20. You're free to list just your favorite. Your favorite per version of Star Trek or more! Tell us the episode and why you like it. For TNG it's the episode where Deanna Troy's mother comes on the shit for the first time. The mud baths and bubbles with faces in them. It always struck me as awesome. I think my second favorite is the one where the original head of security dies in the pit of tar. For DS9 it's the episode that Ezri communes with her serial killer self, Joran Dax. It was an interesting look into how well a symbiont remembers.
  21. I ran a small star trek RP for a bit. But I have been thinking about getting back into, just in a different way.
  22. Voyager is my favorite, Janeway all the way. ❤️
  23. Morrigan

    Favorite Race

Well what I find more interesting is that they evolved some races on a per series basis. I mean in TNG the Ferengi were whipping, hissing assholes. In DS9 they are pointed businessmen. And the Trill were just a passing thing in TNG and they were fully fleshed out in DS9. It's probably why DS9 is my fave series.

Nice! I've always had a soft spot for the Trill, too. I thought they were an inventive addition. They say that each ST series adds a niche with racial (read: human social) that couldn't be fulfilled before: TOS was a black woman in a bridge role; TNG made the CMO female and put a former enemy, a Klingon, on the bridge; DS9 had a black male CO and played with gender (via the Trill) and religion (via the Bajorans); VOY had a female Captain. And, y'know, ENT had Russell Watson singing the theme tune. #wherenoonehasgonebefore #stayhome The Romulans are awesome. The Bajoran/Cardassian conflict is enjoyable and prescient. Basically any race where there's a point. Plus, for ST RP, there's a lot of latitude in canon for these aliens, which makes it fun for writers. ^_^
  25. I used to run a really small Trek RP on Nova ages ago! I kinda miss it.
  26. I used to own Star Trek RPs and played on a few, one was not a particularly good experience. I actually posted on the images tab quite a few of my old RPs advertisements and a few of my character manipulations. Still need to post my Orion manipulation.
