I had to say Kraken but will also toss in the Lusca or any mega-giant undersea creature. I know it's not a cryptid, but I'm even wild about the giant and colossal squids.

This is so timely! My 2nd character at my fantasy game will be a cryptozoologist. 😄

Someone somewhere went to sleep and dreamed us all alive.
Dreams get pushed around a lot, and I doubt if we'll survive.
We won't get to wake up, dreams were born to disappear.
And I'm pretty sure that none of us are here.

Well, it used to be! One of the rare ones that have actually been proven to exist.

I put the Tasmanian Tiger on the list, too, even though it is a known species to science - but since it's believed to have gone extinct that puts any surviving members back into the 'cryptid' category.

I don't recall ever hearing about the Luska, though. That'll be something to look up on!

Personally I'm all about the Dogman stories. I eat those up.

My apologies, I misspelled Lusca.

And yes, not as much on the Michigan Dogman as there is on Sasquatch or Nessie. Which, I'm all about lake monsters too although I don't think Nessie really exists. Loch Ness just wouldn't support a really large cryptid.

Not the "Michigan Dogman" specifically, but there are supposed 'dogman' sightings all over continental North America (they've even started to sprout in Europe, whaddyano). They're just as, if not even more, common as the bigfoot sightings. Personally, I view it as a fascinating example of how folklore takes on life and spreads.

I love the Nessie stories, but I'm inclined to lean with this recent study which indicates that the Loch Ness monster is a giant eel.
