I like both but not too big in both cases.

 

As people tend to fall into three groups, Visual, Audio and Kinaesthetic ... an image with a small blurb is usually  a good way to cover bases without it being too much. Links to such things as floorplans and maps (if you have someone who can make them) is also helpful. Not everyone can visualise what you are trying to convey from words only. It's why the majority of RP games have PB's and the like.  Sound can also been good too as long as it's not overwhelming. Like a well chosen sound for your Cbox.
