I hold to a moderate position, myself.  There are people I've met that act like bratty children; others, like responsible adults.  The former group, I can't tolerate; the latter group, I love.  What fandoms I am still familiar with attract young ladies, so I can freely express my "nice guy" (positive sense) self.  All characters chosen or created by me are children, predominantly boys.

 

But, my composition style and traditionalism are frequent stumbling blocks.  I'm a historically-minded man who finds himself restricted when he cannot be more transparent on subjects.  Thus, if I want to portray Prince Florian (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) (1938) once again, I shall gladly brook.  Currently, more 18+ players seemingly understand me more than teens.

I feel that if you were to age your character as a teenager or less, it would feel abnormal for me as teenagers wouldn't really participate in any RPs I play like fantasy wouldn't participate in activities such as violence.
