Hi!  I'm VarnishedTruths, VT, or Amy.  Whatever you like. Figured it was about time I introduce myself.

I've been RPing more than 20 years (and yes, I'm old).  My favorite genres are fantasy, superheroes, and slice-of-life.  But I enjoy some good sci-fi, mystery, and political intrigue too.  My favorite way to RP is in journals but for PSLs I'm really getting into Google Docs.  But I've done just about every type: AOL chatrooms, IMs, email, forums, even LARPing.

 

My favorite books are Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman and The Thinking Woman's Guide to Real Magic by Emily Croy Barker.  Favorite movies are The Prestige and Errol Flynn's Robin Hood (and just about anything based on Jane Austen).  I won't try to name a favorite type of music; my tastes are too eclectic.  I'll put it this way: YouTube made me a "Classical mix" and for a while it was alternating between Cafe del Mar and Apocalyptica.

 

My hobbies include cooking, coloring, lusting after things I'll never own on Pinterest, planning vacations I'll never take, and research.  My favorite color is purple, and I like to drink blueberry acai juice.

 

And if you give me a list, it'll get completed.  Unless I'm feeling contrary.

I read PP&Z and wasn't impressed, so I doubt I'll see the movie.  But I don't like gore or zombies, so, not really a surprise.  I do like some other interpretations/sequels people have done.  For movies, I think Bride & Prejudice would be my fave.

I love Erroll Flynn too and I have a character with his PB (of course, I have Pinterest for him as well..)

Haha writing is a passion I think!  Imagination needs an escape route and writing is very therapeutic.  I love your hobbies as they sound an awful lot like mine (except for the Pintrest, I think I never got on there BECAUSE I would just get depressed about not having such things xD)

Pinterest is a slippery slope, and it's very easy to get sad about not having all the pretty things.  And that my recipes never come out looking so nice.  But they taste delicious and that's the important thing!
