The Weirdest Bans on a site

Once I applied for a mutant character from the marvel universe on an xmen board that did not appear in much xmen material. So it fit into this weird 'crossover' territory that had been ambiguously handled at this point.

Apparently my character was the straw that broke the camel's back and infighting began happening among the staff.

I withdrew my app and for a long time a 'no crossovers' rule existed. Because of a temper tantrum on a staff member who felt they were being ignored on the subject of crossover characters.

Though before i left the forum some years later, an admin applied for and was approved for that very character, which felt massively disrespectful to me, who was forced to drop a character due to admin fighting.

I've run into a couple sites that had bans/restrictions because "x isn't canon/is the rarest thing in canon"...which would make sense if that was actually the case in canon. It's not like you have to stick with strict canon for your site anyways.
