Staffing The "Accomplishments" of every forum

Every forum encounters, roughly, the same things. Whether it be that first breaking of the code, or the first application that, clearly, didn't read anything.

 

What would you consider some less-than-wanted "accomplishments" for every forum to achieve? 

 

Applicant doesn't use supplied form.

Applicant whines because their extremely popular face is taken

That random account that appears, never posts, and never comes back

Admin that shouldn't touch the code, touches the code. Proceeds to break something

Member can't quite grasp a plot.

Someone asks a question in the FAQ.

They then ask at least 3 more.

An app doesn't even make sense for the setting. Seriously, where do they think they are?

Someone yells at you about your ad.

The code broke again.

Achievements Unlocked:

• Image links keep breaking, even though there's nothing actually wrong with the code.
• That WIP profile that sits in eternal limbo.
• Member complains there's nothing for her character to do, but doesn't want to participate in 7 open threads, 4 events, and half a dozen more smaller plot crumbs littered in the planning board.

• Guest suggests how to "improve" your site by changing the basics of your plot/lore

Ooo! The person who suggests the huge site wide plot focusing on them.... Then ghosts in the middle. 😒

Someone has whined about how applications aren't approved yet. It's 3 AM on a Tuesday.

Someone who complains that their app wasn't moved from WIP to completed, but who never posted to let staff know it was done.

Oh, oh! The one that apps a character that directly violates a site rule... but fully admits it violates the rule because they are a special flower and their self insertion masturbatory fanfic OP wanky character is too perfect to be stopped by pesky rules.

The person who keeps telling you how wonderful their character is. How much you will love their character. How fantastic a writer they are. How many awesome ideas they have.

 

They get told to read the wiki and the rules.

 

They never come back. :-)

Ooo, here's one I know happens to everyone: That person who joins your site, is all excited to play, really impressed with all the writers. And then every time you ask them about plotting, or if they want a starter or when are they gonna start writing? Suddenly they're hella busy after having been chatting solid for the last eight hours.

 

They never ever do anything, and then finally just go away when no one will talk to them about anything but plotting and writing.
