I've been involved in forum and collaborative writing for a long time and in the past couple years have been working on restarting a forum I used to run many years ago. Just got started on directories like this one.

I like to do really freeform type of things, worldbuilding, and collaborative fiction.

Thanks, that's one of my maps. I use it as an ad for my site. I love mapmaking and am currently hoping to get better at the digital side of it (in the past, I've drawn by hand mostly).

I love your map too. And the way you are promoting a more organic, story-focused writing than character by character.

One of my problems is figuring out how to brand and advertise that kind of writing. . . I think it turns a lot of people off but I do believe some people out there must be interested, and some would be if they were introduced to it.

I like the more traditional character-by-character, too, though.

 

It looks to me that you might be more of a pirate resident. If you're a vampire pirate, well. That's a combination that seems pretty fierce.

And the people who are story-focused appreciate your style more, because I find character-by-character more limiting.

We've got a fantasy story that involves pirates right now . . . very story focused.  They are airship pirates, though. No vampires yet, but you could change that.

Glad there are other people out there who appreciate focusing on the story as a whole.

Sure! I'd love to talk to you about that, throw around ideas, etc.

I'm trying to figure out how to reach people with a similar taste in fantasy writing and world building. Collaborative world-building is really fun to me -- got into it as a kid.
